Overview
Most tokens are backed by nothing. $RICE is a commodity-backed token: every token is redeemable at a fixed rate for real rice held in reserve. Gold-backed tokens promise bullion in a vault you'll never visit. $RICE mails you the commodity.
The reserve: 10,000,000 grains, bought before launch. Burn tokens and they're destroyed forever; the rice ships to you free. No staking pools, no metaverse roadmap — a supply, a reserve, and a mailbox. The first coin you can eat.
The peg
Fixed at launch. Never changes:
1,000,000,000 tokens, 10,000,000 grains — if every token burned, every grain would ship, and both would hit zero together. The math closes perfectly.
Derived unit: 1 bowl = 5,000 grains = 500,000 $RICE. The sidebar tracks what a bowl is worth at the current market price.

The price of rice
$349.60 is what the grains cost. It is not what they are worth — canvas and paint don't price the painting. The team fixed one number, the peg, and it's denominated in rice, not dollars. What a grain is worth is decided entirely by the people trading it.
This is not ordinary rice. It has been photographed on a lawn, written into a protocol, and made permanently redeemable by mail. Ordinary rice feeds you once; this rice is load-bearing. Only the market prices that distinction.
Burn & redeem
Handled over X DMs. No portal, no middleman — you burn, you message, rice moves.
From your wallet on Robinhood Chain, send any multiple of 100 $RICE to the burn address below. Keep a little ETH for gas. The tokens are permanently destroyed.
Send the burn transaction hash, the wallet that burned, and your shipping address to @rice_rh — the only account authorized to move rice.
The burn is verified on-chain, then your grains are counted, packed, and queued for the next mail run. Small burns arrive in an envelope; large burns arrive as a package.
The standard dead address — tokens sent here are gone forever, and supply trackers count them as burned.

Is this serious?
The rice is completely real. The tone is not.
What kind of rice is it?
Royal Basmati, from the foothills of the Himalayas. The reserve is premium aged. Your grains are older and wiser than most tokens.
Can I redeem less than one grain?
No. The grain is the atomic unit of the protocol. Burns must be multiples of 100 $RICE.
The reserve cost $349.60. Shouldn't the market cap be $349.60?
No. The reserve backs you in grains, not dollars. The grocery bill priced the raw material; the market prices the rice.
What happens when the reserve runs out?
It can't — the peg guarantees exactly enough rice for every token still circulating.
Should I buy this?
Up to you. It's a memecoin: entertainment, not an investment. Never spend money you'd be sad to convert into a small pile of rice.
